Kimi Raikkonen retains Ferrari seat for 2016
Belgian Grand Prix – Ferrari have announced that Kimi Raikkonen will remain with the Italian squad for 2016. The Finn will once again partner Sebastian Vettel. Raikkonen has been the key to the silly season rumour market over the last couple of months. Mixed results and a mid-season slump meant his position was called into question, especially at a time when his contract was up for renewal for next year. Under threat from promising young driver and compatriot Valtteri Bottas & Le Mans 24 Hours winner Nico Hulkenberg, both of whom are without contracts for 2016, Raikkonen will be relieved to have his immediate future decided once and for all.
