Vital for F1 to race at classic tracks – Gastaldi
Lotus F1 deputy team principal Federico Gastaldi says it is 'vital' that Formula 1 continues to race at classic tracks. After the sport's summer break, F1 heads to the historic Spa-Francorchamps circuit for the 11th round of the 2015 season, with the following race taking place at the iconic Monza. Gastaldi has stressed the importance of F1 maintaining the right balance between old venues and modern tracks in new markets. 'In my opinion it is vital,' he said. 'These tracks are the lifeblood of F1. There wouldn’t be a tennis season without Wimbledon or a golf season without the Masters at Augusta.
