Ecclestone wants Renault works team

– Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone has called on Renault to remain in Formula 1 and return to its days of being a manufacturer team by taking over the Lotus outfit.Renault is currently evaluating its options for 2017 and beyond, with its engine supply deals with Red Bull and junior team Toro Rosso expiring at the end of next season.Ecclestone hopes the French brand ultimately decides to stay involved in the sport, and reckons it should buy back the squad it previously owned for nine seasons."I'd like them to take over Lotus, or start a new company on their own," Ecclestone told Autosport."I'd rather not lose them because they've been with us a long time and they are...
