Harnden appointed new AGPC chairman

John Harnden AM has been confirmed as the new chairman of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC). Harnden takes over the position from the long serving Ron Walker, who stepped down from the role in April after a period of 23 years. A former Chief Executive of the AGPC, Harnden has more than 25 years experience in motorsport. Earlier this year, Harnden took up the position of the Chief Executive for the ICC Cricket World Cup and the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
