Button 'unharmed but shaken' after burglary in France

Jenson Button and his wife Jessica Michibata were the victims of a burglary earlier this week while on holiday in Southern France. A spokesman for the McLaren driver said anaesthetic gas may have been used in the robbery, which took place at a villa the couple were renting with friends in Saint-Tropez on Monday. They were unharmed but shaken by the burglary. Two thieves broke into the property and stole possessions reportedly worth £300,000 – including Michibata's engagement ring. Button currently lives in Monaco, which is 80 miles along the coast from Saint-Tropez.
