New Monza deal to be signed off in September

The future of the Italian Grand Prix looks to be secure with news that a new deal will be agreed sometime in "early September". The event, held at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, looked in doubt for 2016 and beyond as negotiations to secure a new contract stalled on multiple occasions over costs. It's believed between €22 and €24 million is needed to secure Monza's place on the F1 calendar for the next few years and now a tax free investment will provide that shortfall.   Backing has come from the Italian government and now Lombardy governor, Roberto Maroni, is confident they will have a new deal signed and in place next month.
