Alonso failure caused by electrical shutdown

Hungarian Grand Prix – Fernando Alonso's crowd-pleasing push of his car was caused by an electrical system shutdown. It was another troubled session for McLaren in Hungary, despite their slightly more elevated expectations at a circuit that doesn't require all-out engine power. Having been granted a free power unit change thanks to a recent rule change, McLaren opted to put new power units into their cars immediately and have been running fresh units since the start of Friday practice.
