Hungaroring FP1: Hamilton and Rosberg way ahead

As has become the trend in Formula 1 these days, at the end of FP3 the Mercedes duo were way ahead of the pack as their drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg square up for another Silver Arrows duel for top honours at the Hungarian Grand Prix – starting with qualifying and likely to resume on race day. Although Hamilton ended the final free practice session at Hungaroring fastest of all, his teammate Rosberg was a mere 0.098 of a second shy of the top time. Only hiccup on the Silver Arrows steamroller was Rosberg failing to compete a practice start in the final minutes of the one hour session, stalling at the end of the pitlane.
