Ricciardo: We can be Mercedes' nearest rivals

Daniel Ricciardo believes Red Bull Racing has the pace to be Mercedes’ nearest challengers at this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix. Red Bull provided one of the surprises of Friday practice with Ricciardo and team-mate Daniil Kvyat splitting the Mercedes duo. The Australian ended practice third fastest behind Kvyat just 0.5s adrift of the pacesetting Mercedes of Hamilton. Although an engine failure ended his day prematurely, Ricciardo is confident Red Bull can remain the second quickest team at the Hungaroring.
