Lotus play down Romain's lack of FP1 runs

Lotus have played down concerns that the decision to give Jolyon Palmer several Friday outings is having a negative impact on Romain Grosjean's performances. Grosjean has already been forced to step aside for reserve driver Palmer at five Free Practice One sessions this year and he will again make way at the next three races in Hungary, Belgium and Italy while team-mate Pastor Maldonado continues to drive in every session. The Frenchman has admitted that it has disrputed his preparations for races, but Lotus trackside operations director Alan Permane believes it's more a case of his pride taking a knock.
