FIA to warn teams over 'false' stops

– Formula 1's governing body, the FIA, is to warn teams that a repeat of the "false" pit-stop carried out by Mercedes at the British Grand Prix will not be tolerated moving forward.Mercedes battled Williams for the lead in the early stages of last weekend's race at Silverstone, and attempted to trick its rival into an early pit-stop by deploying crew members on Lap 14.But all four cars stayed out, with Hamilton ultimately the first of the frontrunners to pit for fresh tyres five laps later, after which he re-joined the track ahead of Massa and Bottas.While Mercedes boss Toto Wolff was open in admitting that his team's actions were aimed at provoking Williams into a stop,...
