Vandoorne: My place in F1 isn't guaranteed

Despite scything his way through the GP2 field this year in a bid for the feeder series' title, McLaren youngster Stoffel Vandoorne acknowledges that even a convincing championship might not guarantee his place in Formula One in 2016. 'Even if I win this championship this season there is no guarantee I will be in F1 next year,' Vandoorne said. 'It has always been a very competitive sport, and there have always been drivers that have done well and not gotten to F1.'
