Wolff praises Hamilton’s ‘perfect’ strategy call

Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff has hailed Lewis Hamilton’s “perfect” race-winning strategy call during the British Grand Prix. Hamilton claimed back-to-back wins at Silverstone after a brave move to switch to the intermediate tyres as heavy rain hit the circuit in the closing stages. While Hamilton – who dropped to third behind the two Williams cars early in the race before passing them in the pits – opted to stop, his team-mate Nico Rosberg stayed out an extra lap, losing time and handing the reigning champion the win. “That was a pretty perfect race today and a real team result,” said Wolff. “We have to analyse what happened at the start – the Williams got off...
