Hamilton: ‘I made the perfect choice tyre-wise’

Defending F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton won his home race, the British Grand Prix, for the third time following bouncing back from a slow start. The local hero, started on the pole, but the Williams duo of Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas, who started third and fourth, in that order, passed Hamilton for position heading into the first corner of the opening lap. Mercedes made quick 2.4-second pit stop on lap 19 and Hamilton took over the top spot when the round of stops completed on lap 22.
