Lewis Hamilton: “Luckily it all came together in qualifying”
For the third time in his career, Lewis Hamilton secured pole position in front of his home fans at Silverstone, and praised those fans for the support they have shown the Briton this weekend. Hamilton was able to beat Mercedes AMG PETRONAS team-mate Nico Rosberg to top spot by 0.113s on Saturday, and although he had not had a straightforward weekend after issues with set-up during practice, he was happy for it to all come together during qualifying. “It's a special day and an extra special feeling getting pole on my home turf in front of all the fantastic fans that have come out here to Silverstone,” revealed Hamilton. “They've been absolutely incredible, so a big thank you to...
