Hamilton takes Silverstone pole

Lewis Hamilton has claimed pole position for the British GP at Silverstone ahead of Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg. The defending world champion lapped the 3.667-mile track in 1:32.248 to go 0.113s faster than Rosberg, who is currently 10 points behind Hamilton in the drivers' championship. Felipe Massa qualified third on the grid ahead of Williams team-mate Valtteri Bottas, with Ferrari suffering disappointment by their standards this season - Kimi Raikkonen setting the fifth fastest time ahead of Sebastian Vettel. Red Bull's Daniil Kvyat was seventh ahead of Toro Rosso's Carlos Sainz, with Force India's Nico Hulkenberg ninth ahead of Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo. Further down the order,...
