Hamilton rises to the top in final practice

Lewis Hamilton was quickest in final practice ahead of qualifying for the British Grand Prix ahead of Mercedes AMG PETRONAS team-mate Nico Rosberg. Hamilton set a best time of 1m32.917s late in the session at Silverstone to confirm top spot, while Rosberg slipped into second as the chequered flag fell despite encountering traffic on his quick lap. Kimi Raikkonen was third quickest for the Scuderia Ferrari team but was 0.775s back from the pace set by the leading Mercedes, while Sebastian Vettel was fourth in the second Ferrari, but was more than a second back on Hamilton.
