Silverstone FP1: Rosberg nips it from Hamilton
After spending most of the first free practice session, of the British Grand Prix weekend, in the pits watching Mercedes mechanics change the gearbox on his car, Nico Rosberg jumped into the cockpit to set the fastest time and unseating teammate Lewis Hamilton from top spot on the timing screens. Remarkably Rosberg's fastest lap of 1:34.334 came in the dying moments of the 90 minutes session, within five or so minutes after emerging from the pits with the new gearbox bolted onto W06 – is this one of the greatest F1 cars of all time?
