Formula 1 needs to be more competitive – fans

– Almost 90 per cent of Formula 1 fans hold the view that the sport needs to be more competitive, according to the results of a global survey recently conducted by the Grand Prix Drivers' Association (GPDA).More than 215,000 people from 194 countries took part in the survey, with most respondents hailing from the United Kingdom, France and the United States.In addition to boosting competition, 85 per cent of fans feel that F1 should do more to attract and retain new fans, and 77 reckon that business interests have taken over.Over 70 per cent recognise sound and power output as important factors, and want the regulations to be relaxed, while just over half reckon cars are now too easy...
