London could still host F1, insists mayor

Boris Johnson has said that he is still willing to listen to proposals for running an F1 race on the streets of London, even though many dismiss the possibility as unfeasible. Intoxicated after driving two laps of Battersea Park in an electric-powered Formula E machine ahead of this weekend's season-ending double header of the innovative championship, the city's mayor insisted that he had not entirely discounted bringing motorsport's flagship series to the capital, despite the idea appearing to have been written off largely as a publicity stunt ahead of the British Grand Prix a couple of years ago.
