Analysis: Complexities of the F1 penalty system
The Austrian Grand Prix featured a raft of engine-related penalties that made figuring out the final grid a confusing affair. Adam Cooper explains how it gets worked out. The raft of power unit penalties applied at the Austrian Grand Prix left the public with a lopsided grid that featured both McLarens on the back row and the two Red Bulls not far ahead of them.
