Productive Palmer leaves Austria in sad mood
Lotus third and reserve driver Jolyon Palmer says despite a productive testing day it was tinged with sadness as it marks his final in-season test in the Lotus E23 Hybrid in 2015. The 2014 GP2 champion notched up 110 laps on Wednesday at the last in-season F1 test of the year at the Red Bull Ring and ended the day sixth on the timesheet with a fastest lap of 1m 10.373s, 1.2s of pace-setter Nico Rosberg. Focusing on aerodynamic evaluations and setup work, Palmer says when he jumped out of the car at the end he felt slightly downbeat. “It was a good day for me and we completed all of our programme,” Palmer said. “It's always productive to get a good tally of laps on the board so...
