McLaren & Alonso ‘pretty happy' with 104 laps

Austria – Fernando Alonso clocked up 104 trouble-free laps on Day 2 to add to the 77 laps of reliability for Stoffel Vandoorne on Day 1. With a dry day at the Red Bull Ring, McLaren put Fernando Alonso to good use as the Spaniard took over driving duties from GP2 Championship leader Stoffel Vandoorne. Alonso put in 104 laps throughout the course of the day, concentrating on evaluation of the new aero components the team have rolled out for the MP4/30. His best time was a 1.10.718, just on 0.7 seconds off the front-running pace of Nico Rosberg's Mercedes. 'Today was a positive day.
