McLaren alters testing plan after Alonso crash

McLaren has changed its test plans for this week following Fernando Alonso's Austrian Grand Prix crash. The Woking-based outfit had originally had Alonso down to drive on Tuesday as part of an important two days of running to evaluate a new aerodynamic package. But with a number of new parts having been damaged in his first lap accident with Kimi Raikkonen, the team has had to shuffle things around. Following meetings on Monday morning, it has now decided that Stoffel Vandoorne will run on Tuesday to kick start the week. Alonso will instead run on Wednesday, when it is hoped that a number of replacement parts will have arrived at the Red Bull Ring so they can be fitted to the MP4-30. The...
