Alonso encouraged by progress despite penalties

McLaren Honda Fernando Alonso says he is encouraged by the improvements made by McLaren though concedes he is braced for a tough Austrian Grand Prix due to a series of penalties. Alonso qualified in 15th position but was handed a 25 place drop due to McLaren changing several engine parts in his car, as well as his gearbox. As a result, Alonso cannot serve his full sanction and must serve a drive through penalty in the first three laps of the race.
