Rosberg 'gutted' with last lap mistake

Mercedes AMG Petronas Nico Rosberg declared himself 'gutted' after sliding off the circuit as he attempted to wrestle back pole position from Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton. Rosberg had led the way early in the session but Hamilton moved two-tenths clear of the German prior to their final flying laps. Rosberg was matching Hamilton's time as he rounded Turn 8 but went marginally wide before sliding off track at the final corner, ending up in the gravel trap. "I went on the AstroTurf at the second to last corner, maybe it was a little wet or I overdid it, I just lost it into the last corner," he said.
