Alonso confirmed with 20 place grid penalty

It's been mooted for the past 24 hours, but confirmation has now come from the Austrian Grand Prix stewards that Fernando Alonso will take a twenty place grid penalty. Fernando Alonso may have taken a new engine without penalty last time out in Canada, but the McLaren driver isn't quite so fortunate this time. McLaren have opted to give him another new engine for the Austrian Grand Prix weekend, the 5th Honda unit that Alonso has used since the start of the year. This means that he has to take a 20 place grid penalty, due to a breach of Article 28.4 of F1's Sporting Regulations; the reasoning behind the penalty is shown below.
