Vettel quickest in FP2 despite gearbox problem

Sebastian Vettel set the quickest time in second practice for the Austrian Grand Prix, despite a gearbox problem cutting his running shot in the 90-minute session. With dark clouds looming overhead, it was a busy start to practice two at the Red Bull Ring. Marcus Ericsson, Vettel – after his FP1 problems – and Roberto Merhi were the first drivers to exit the pit lane. Vettel put in the opening timed lap of the session with a 1:13.584. Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen then traded fastest times, with the former setting the pace after the first 25 minutes of running in Austria.
