Red Bull Ring FP1: Rosberg and Hamilton set the pace

As has become the norm in recent times, the Mercedes pair topped the timing screens at the end of the first free practice session of the Austrian Grand Prix weekend, with Nico Rosberg ahead of Lewis Hamilton on the timing sheets. Rosberg's best lap of 1:10.401 was a tad over a quarter of a second up on teammate Hamilton, apart from these two no one else managed to dip into the 70 seconds zone at Red Bull Ring in the Styrian hillside. Best of the rest was Kimi Raikkonen in the Ferrari, half a second down on Rosberg's best and suggesting that the reds have some pace to perhaps challenge the Silver Arrows this weekend.
