Rosberg leads Mercedes 1-2 in first practice

Nico Rosberg ended first practice for the Austrian Grand Prix quickest at the Red Bull Ring, from Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen. Despite overnight rain, conditions were dry and warm for the opening session of the race weekend. At Red Bull's home event, Daniil Kvyat was the first to take to the circuit when practice one got underway. It was a troublesome start for Fernando Alonso. The McLaren driver suffered an engine issue on his installation lap and had to coast down the pit lane with his engine switched off. Sebastian Vettel reported that he 'lost drive' and pulled off track with over an hour to go. Felipe Nasr kicked off the timed laps with a 1:18.021. The benchmark quickly...
