Rosberg strikes to go fastest in Austria – FP1 Report
Nico Rosberg has gone fastest in the first practice session in Austria. The German driver was 0.3 seconds clear of team-mate Lewis Hamilton. Third place went to Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen, but there was trouble for the other Ferrari of Sebastian Vettel. The slightly damp conditions of Thursday gave way to a balmy 15 degrees and a track temperature in the mid-20s as the green light flicked on to start track running for the Austrian Grand Prix. As scheduled, Lotus put Jolyon Palmer into the cockpit of one of their E23s; Romain Grosjean being the man relinquishing his car for the one hour and thirty minute long session.
