Imola in talks to host Italian Grand Prix

mola has entered discussions with Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone about taking over as the host circuit of the Italian Grand Prix.The Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari has not hosted Formula 1 since the 2006 season, when it staged the San Marino Grand Prix.Monza currently hosts the Italian Grand Prix, but the venue does not have a contract in place with Ecclestone beyond the 2016 campaign.Imola's mayor, Daniele Manca, met with Ecclestone on Monday, along with Uberto Selvatico Estense, President of Formula Imola, and Stefano Manara, President of CON.AMI."We wanted to show Ecclestone how willing Imola was to get Formula 1 back – but also do our part to keep the Grand Prix in...
