Red Bull: Single stop Grands Prix terrible for F1
Red Bull F1 team Principal Christian Horner says that single stop grands prix are bad for F1 and tyre provider Pirelli needs to modify to higher-degradation tyres. 'One-stop races aren't good for Formula 1,' Horner told Autosport, 'You need to have two to three stops, and that's important. Unfortunately, the tyres we have now are just a bit too conservative. 'A few years ago we had a bit more down-force that abused the tyres a bit more. 'Pirelli did go too far if you think back to Silverstone 2013 [the British GP that included several tyre failures], but as a result of that their reaction is we have ended up with a pretty conservative tyre.
