Button encouraged despite 'painful' race

– Jenson Button remains optimistic that McLaren is making progress despite admitting that it suffered a 'painful' race at the Canadian Grand Prix.Button started from the back of the grid and had a drive through penalty early on in the race due to being unable to serve a full sanction for taking a fifth power unit component.Button spent much of the race ahead of only the Manor Marussia drivers in 18th place before retiring during the closing stages."It was obviously a very difficult day, made even more difficult for me since I'd started last with the addition of a drive-through penalty in the first three laps," he said.
