Ricciardo: We tried and nothing worked – Canadian GP
Red Bull slipped further behind Williams with a performance that equalled their worst of the season. Daniel Ricciardo, who won last year at Canada, started ninth on the grid and finished behind Spanish rookie Carlos Sainz in thirteenth place. 'We tried and nothing worked,' Ricciardo said. 'We didn't have pace. At the moment all I can do is laugh. Race cars are complicated. Some days you don't understand them. 'Unfortunately, we haven't really got on top of it this weekend, but we didn't expect to be that slow in the race.
