Bottas & Smedley overjoyed with 'strategic' podium

Valtteri Bottas' third place may have been more easily won when Kimi Raikkonen spun his Ferrari, but both he & Rob Smedley say that the team were always aiming for the podium. Bottas managed to get ahead of Kimi Raikkonen during the pit stop phase after shadowing the Ferrari through the first stint. This position change was aided greatly by Raikkonen spinning while leaving the hairpin on his outlap, allowing Bottas to sneak in front. Kimi then sat behind the Williams unable to do anything about it before changing to supersofts in a strategic gamble.
