Vettel explains Q1 elimination due to 'lack of power'

Sebastian Vettel was one of the biggest shocks of Saturday's qualifying session. The Ferrari driver was eliminated after sitting in the garage for most of the session. The reason for his delayed appearance was due to an energy recovery problem that struck the SF15-T during the morning FP3 session. While Sebastian was able to get out on track with 4 minutes remaining in Q1, the problem hadn't been rectified. Equipped with the super soft tyres in an effort to get into Q2, his times were just not quite good enough to make it through.
