Rosberg fastest in interrupted final session
Mercedes AMG Petronas Nico Rosberg set the quickest time during the final practice session for the Canadian Grand Prix, which was interrupted by two red flags periods. Rosberg posted a time of 1:15.660 to end 0.573s clear of Ferrari’s Kimi Räikkönen, while World Champion Lewis Hamilton finished at the foot of the times. Hamilton had gone wide on his first hot lap on Option tyres before McLaren’s Jenson Button stopped at Turn 6 with seven minutes remaining, bringing out the red flags for a second time and ending the session prematurely.
