Smedley: Grip problems solved after problematic FP1

After a morning free practice session that saw Valtteri Bottas spin at turn 6 and miss the final chicane slightly later in his running, Williams head of vehicle performance Rob Smedley believes the Grove outfit have their grip issues sorted and are ready to perform at their maximum come Sunday. 'Without wanting to defend Valtteri, this morning I don't think he was the only one who spun: it was very low grip, certainly for us,' Smedley said. 'I think both drivers came out of FP2 fairly happy with the balance of the car: they both had slightly different balances, and yes, we can always improve, But I think both of them were reasonably happy by the time they'd run in FP2 on the option tyre.'...
