Mercedes alters protocols after Monaco blunder

Mercedes has made changes to its systems and structure to ensure that there is no repeat of the strategy error that cost Lewis Hamilton victory in the Monaco Grand Prix. A late call for Hamilton to pit under the safety car at Monte Carlo backfired as it dropped him behind Nico Rosberg and Sebastian Vettel. Following a post-event investigation into the circumstances that led to the pit call being made, Mercedes executive director Paddy Lowe said that action had been taken.
