Mercedes: Monaco pit mistake overblown

– Mercedes Executive Director (Technical) Paddy Lowe reckons the pit mistake that cost Lewis Hamilton victory at the Monaco Grand Prix was overblown.Hamilton dropped behind team-mate Nico Rosberg and Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel after pitting for fresh tyres under a late Safety Car period.Although frustrated with the outcome, Lowe defended the Mercedes' strategic record, and argued that the team did not deserve so much criticism."There has been a great deal of comment concerning our mistake and its consequences," said Lowe."On behalf of the team, this error should be put into context.
