Hamilton leads Mercedes 1-2 in Canada FP1

Lewis Hamilton set the pace in first practice for the Canadian Grand Prix, ahead of Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton and Lotus driver Romain Grosjean. Conditions were overcast and cool as the opening session at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve got underway. Kimi Raikkonen, Felipe Massa and Marcus Ericsson were the first to take to the track. Rosberg set the opening timed lap with a 1:23.011. Soon after emerging from his pit garage, Jenson Button reported that his car was stuck in second gear.
