Button’s P8 at Monaco GP greeted almost like a victory

McLaren ace Jenson Button’s eighth place finish at Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday was addressed almost like a victory. McLaren-Honda’s terrible ever start to the season meant it had failed to score a point in the opening five races, Button missed a chance to contend in Qualifying Q3 but grid penalties lift him start from 10th on the grid and successively finished in eighth place. Even as his teammate Alonso failed to finish Sunday’s race because of an overheating issue, two weeks after also dropping out during the Spanish GP.
