Rosberg: 'Lewis drove brilliantly and deserved the win'

Nico Rosberg has admitted that Lewis Hamilton was the deserving winner of the Monaco Grand Prix, after the German driver inherited the win after a late strategic error from the team on Lewis's side of the garage. Hamilton had lead from the start of the race and lead Rosberg by over 15 seconds on Lap 65 when the safety car emerged due to Max Verstappen's crash. Pitting under the safety car for a fresh set of super soft tyres, Lewis emerged behind Rosberg & Vettel when the pair didn't stop again. Despite the fresher tyres and 8 remaining racing laps, Lewis wasn't able to get back ahead of either, meaning Lewis only managed third place behind Rosberg & Vettel.
