Sainz Jr. penalised with pit lane start

Red Bull/Getty Images Toro Rosso driver Carlos Sainz Jr. will start the Monaco Grand Prix from the pit lane after he failed to stop at the weighbridge during qualifying. Sainz had originally set the eighth fastest lap but did not stop at the weigh bridge when required to do so in Q1. The driver failed to stop for weighing during Q1 when signalled to do so by the red traffic light, the car was not returned to the FIA garage and work was undertaken," read the report from the stewards.
