Sainz Jr. thrown out of Monaco qualifying

– Carlos Sainz Jr. will start the Monaco Grand Prix from the pit lane after he was thrown out of qualifying for missing the weighbridge.Sainz Jr., who had qualified eighth, failed to stop for weighing in Q1, which is signalled by a red traffic light shortly after the pit entry.Having heard from Sainz Jr. and a Toro Rosso team representative after qualifying, the stewarding panel opted to impose the penalty."The driver failed to stop for weighing during Q1 when signalled to do so by the red traffic light, the car was not returned to the FIA garage and work was undertaken," read a statement from the stewards.Lotus driver Pastor Maldonado and Sainz Jr.'s team-mate, Max...
