Hamilton confirms three-year Mercedes F1 deal Lewis Hamilton has officially confirmed he has signed a new deal with Mercedes to continue racing with the team for three more years, until the end of 2018. The two-time world champion had always been expected to put pen to paper on a new deal, but the protraction of the negotiations had raised speculation of a difficulty in coming to terms between driver and team. However, ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix, Mercedes have now confirmed Hamilton will not only stay with the team into 2016, but remain until the end of the 2018 season.
