Strategy Group proposes refuelling and open tyre choices
Formula 1's Strategy Group have revealed details about the suggested changes to be made to the sport for 2016 and 2017. Meeting in Biggin Hill today, the Strategy Group have announced their proposed changes to be made to the sport in a bid to 'improve the show', with the main alterations to the rules coming in the form of giving the teams an open tyre choice during race weekends for 2016, and a re-introduction of refuelling for 2017. In the only change planned for 2016, teams would be able to freely choose two of the four tyre compounds for use in a race weekend. Currently, tyres choices are made by the tyre suppliers, Pirelli.
