Maldonado hoping Lotus can challenge Williams

Pastor Maldonado hopes Lotus can cut the gap and challenge Williams during the remainder of the 2015 Formula 1 season. The Lotus E23 Hybrid has shown good speed so far this year, but problems have cost the team points. The Enstone-based outfit is currently sixth in the constructors' championship, just behind Red Bull. 'It is always hard to know because Formula 1 changes quickly,' Maldonado said when asked if Lotus can close in on those ahead, after stepping out of the car following a morning of in-season testing on Tuesday.
