Rosberg quickest on day one of F1 test
Nico Rosberg continued on from where he left off at this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix by proving quickest on the first day of F1 testing at the Circuit de Catalunya. Following his lights-to-flag win from pole position on Sunday, Rosberg returned to the cockpit of the W06 to continue building on the car's development, as well as participate in two hours of Pirelli tyre testing. It was during this test with the unmarked rubber that Rosberg set his fastest time, a 1min 24.374secs lap, which proved three tenths better than his pole winning lap from Saturday, albeit still 1.6secs slower than his benchmark from pre-season testing.
